Annie Tan:

Confronting Your Vision. A personal journey from the cousin to Vincent Chin. Annie will talk about breaking traditional barriers, becoming an activist, speaking up about other Asian hate crimes, and building a legacy of awareness so we can create solidarity together.

 

Paula Yoo:

Paula will touch on how life was in the 1980’s, specifics about the Vincent Chin case, location, pictures & impact of media, and finishing up with a holistic view leading us back to building legacies.

At the conclusion of Paula’s keynote, there will be a joint Q&A session.

This workshop will be a discussion on ways to sustain allyship and engagement in the movement, how to leverage policy to enact long lasting change; how to strengthen community building and responsibly using social media as a tool for advocacy work.

Hear how their perseverance and attitude embolden them to be an inspiration to their respective Vietnamese, Thai, and Pacific Islander communities.

Learn how they surpassed the challenges they’ve faced along the way, how they were able to achieve their success, and how they’re continuing to lead their service and communities. And…it is an opportunity to acquire a mentor while you’re at it.
