Chantale Wong is the founder of the Conference on the Asian Pacific American Leadership (CAPAL) and currently serves as its advisory chair, increasing access to public service opportunities for Asian American, Native Hawaiian, and Pacific Islander youth. She is a leading authority on international development policy and was previously appointed to the Board of Directors of the Asian Development Bank. A dedicated public servant with more than 30 years of experience, she has held senior positions in the Millenium Challenge Corporation, the National Aeronautics and Space Administration, Office of Management and Budget, Department of the Treasury, Department of the Interior, and the Environmental Protection Agency. Chantale was recently nominated to an ambassador-level post as the U.S. Director of the Asian Development Bank. If confirmed by the Senate, she would be the first LGBTQ+ person of color to serve in an ambassador-level role.
