How do I register as a Non-Member?
While the convention is open to everyone (members and non-members of NAAAP), we recommend purchasing a 12-month NAAAP membership with your local chapter to save $40-60 on your convention ticket.
Find your NAAAP Chapter to sign up as a NAAAP member and your paid membership will be active immediately to access the member ticket prices.
How do I register as a NAAAP member?
Please reach out to your chapter President for member pricing.
Once you receive the members-only discount code, enter it into the “Access or Discount Code” section, and hit “Apply”.
Do I get complimentary registration and do I need to register for the event?
Yes! As a speaker, you will receive complimentary registration for the day of your session. However, you do not need to register for the event, the Program Concierge will register for you.
Where is the event being held?
The 2022 Leadership Convention is being held at The Capital Hilton located at 1001 16th St NW, Washington, DC 20036 (special discounted room rates are still available here for a limited time).
To get to the Capital Hilton via metro you can get off at Farragut West or McPherson Square via the Blue, Yellow, or Orange line.
When is the last day to purchase a ticket?
Ticket sales ended August 4, 2022, 11:59pm ET
What is your refund policy?
NAAAP will be able to refund Leadership Convention and ERG Summit ticket passes if requested in writing or email by August 4, 2022, 11:59 PM ET to firstname.lastname@example.org. Cancellations will be refunded at 100% of the purchase price, minus a $75 processing fee. After August 4, 2022, 11:59 PM ET, you may not cancel or receive a refund.
If prior to the Convention you contract Covid-19, you must submit proof of a positive PCR up to 48 hours prior to the start of the Convention or an antigen test up to 24 hours prior to email@example.com.
How do I request for special accommodations?
We hope to give you the best experience at our Convention. If you have any special accommodations, please email firstname.lastname@example.org.
What is the NAAAP Gala and Awards Ceremony?
This event will be held on August 13th. It is a celebration awarding our prestigious NAAAP 100, Inspire, and Pride awards. To attend, it is an additional fee, not included in your same day registration, as it is a separate event. For more information please check our pricing info.
How do I access the Career Fair?
The Career Fair is free and open to the public. Registration for Career Fair only is forthcoming. If you purchase any of the passes on this page, you do not need to separately register for the Career Fair. Convention participants will receive early access to the Diversity Career Fair starting at 1 PM. The general public will be allowed entry beginning at 1:15 PM.

Do I need to book my own hotel?
Yes! Discounted room rates are still available for a limited time. You may reserve your room by calling +1 (800) 405-0064 or booking online with the Capital Hilton.
What are the COVID protocols at the event?
We are following the CDC for public health recommendations. Our Covid-19 protocols are subject to change as CDC recommendations and guidelines are updated.
We will not require attendees to show any proof of their COVID status at this time. You are welcome to wear a face covering, but this isn’t required.
Testing (and getting a negative result!) before you come to the event is a simple way to look after other people so we encourage this, but will not enforce it.
Which airport is most convenient to fly into?
Reagan International Airport (DCA) is recommended and is located conveniently across the Potomac River from the Nation’s Capital. You have access to the metro via the Blue or Yellow line or you can use a rideshare app to travel into D.C.
Dulles International Airport (IUD) is recommended and is located 26 miles from downtown Washington, DC. You can use a rideshare app to travel into D.C.
Can I promote my speaking session on my social media channels?
Yes! We encourage speakers to promote their speaking engagement as well as the National Leadership Convention as a whole. Please use your personalized marketing tool kit, which will be sent to you shortly after you receive our welcome package.
What time should I arrive at my session?
Please arrive at your session 30 minutes before your scheduled time to ensure everything is in place and to conduct a tech check if needed.
Is there a speaker rehearsal?
No, there is not a dedicated time to rehearse your session prior to the event, but there will be a Speaker Ready Room available on site.
Do I get a speaker badge?
Yes, please check-in at the Event Registration area upon your arrival to pick up your name badge.
If I include a presentation, what format does it need to be in?
Please use powerpoint(.PPTX) with 16:9 dimensions and send it to the Program Concierge.Your presentation will be included in a shared convention folder labeled with your room name and session title.
