Nina is a Merrill Financial Solutions Advisor at Bank of America; assisting both internal partners and clients with the Merrill Edge online platform. Passionate about volunteerism, leadership and philanthropy especially in the AAPI community; she currently serves on the Board for local non-profit Asian American LEAD and recently joined the Bank’s national leadership team for the Asian employee network. Nina is from Long Island (NY) but has called the Washington DC area home for over 20 years. She currently resides in McLean, VA and enjoys hot soup, fruity cocktails and watching her teenage boys play baseball.

Irene Thomas is a technologist, marketer, and racial equity activist. She has worked in visual art, political communications, non-profit marketing, and as a marketing executive in big tech. In August 2021, she started a new role as Senior Director of Global Demand and Marketing. Previously, she co-led the Washington D.C. Asian Googlers Network, and was a member of the Asian Race Affairs team globally at Google. Irene is passionate about dispelling the model minority myth and creating opportunities for multicultural coalition work towards racial inclusion and equity.

Soo is a creative individual who thrives on facing and solving new challenges. Her professional interests lie in assisting organizations to gain a competitive advantage through their human capital and talent management strategies. She translates people data into insights and actionable recommendations to help businesses make data-driven decisions that align talent strategy with an organization’s overall strategy. Recently, her interests have expanded into workforce planning—especially in understanding the internal and external supply and demand for talent while planning for future needs.
Currently, Soo is a Senior Workforce Analyst at Nestle USA. She is also serving as the President of the company’s Pan Asian Network ERG.

William Cheng currently serves as the Global Director of HR Reporting, Insights and Analytics at Cargill. Previously, Will served as Global Management Information Leader for Cargill’s Animal Nutrition enterprise, focused on harmonization of financial systems, data governance and business intelligence. In that role for two years, he empowered global business leaders by building analytics platforms that provide the best information for strategic business decision making. Prior to joining Cargill in 2016, William worked in various business intelligence and finance roles at Target Corporation for nearly twelve years.
William has been active in the diversity and inclusion space for over ten years. He leads Cargill’s global Asian Alliance business resource group, which serves hundreds of Asian professional employees, focused on professional development, retention and community building. He also currently serves as the Executive Director for the National Association of Asian American Professionals Minnesota (NAAAP MN).
William holds a B.A. in Economics, with a quantitative focus, from the University of Minnesota Twin Cities, and a MBA, with a finance focus, from Hamline University School of Business.
