William Cheng currently serves as the Global Management Information Leader for Cargill’s Animal Nutrition enterprise, focused on harmonization of financial systems, data governance and business intelligence. In this role, he empowers global business leaders by building analytics platforms that provide the best information for strategic business decision making. Prior to joining Cargill in 2016, William worked in various business intelligence and finance roles at Target Corporation for nearly twelve years.
William has been active in the diversity and inclusion space for over ten years. He leads Cargill’s global Asian Alliance business resource group, which serves hundreds of Asian professional employees, focused on professional development, retention and community building. He also currently serves as the Executive Director for the National Association of Asian American Professionals Minnesota (NAAAP MN).
William holds a B.A. in Economics, with a quantitative focus, from the University of Minnesota Twin Cities, and a MBA, with a finance focus, from Hamline University School of Business.
